President's Asar 15 Message: Minimize Climate Change Impact on Rice Production

Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel emphasized the importance of raising awareness and taking active measures among the government, farmers, and stakeholders to enhance rice production and productivity.

In his message on the occasion of the 21st National Paddy Day today, the President highlighted the need to minimize the impact of climate change on rice farming. He called for the implementation of climate-friendly technologies in rice farming to boost production, reduce rice imports, and achieve food security and sufficiency. "May this Day inspire all of us to advance towards this end," he stated.

President Paudel also reminded the public of the constitutional guarantee of the right to food as a fundamental right of all citizens. He reiterated that the State should focus its entire attention on improving irrigation facilities and modernizing the agricultural sector.
